Misc. ramblings...

Wow! I hadn't realized it has been this long since I have updated, my apologies. I had a wonderful family vacation down South. I think between the lot of us, we got some great pics. Of course, I have no time to work on them,, yet, but hopefully as soon as VBS dies down.

I think unpacking bags/boxes is my least favorite thing ever! Well, that and putting my hand down into the garbage disposal, and draining tuna. =P Anyways, from where I am sitting I can see a huge load(s) of clean laundry, 2 suitcases and lots and lots of toys. Fun, not! The game of the day? Flip-flop lottery! Yes, I have found one of each of my 10-ish pairs of flip-flops, but not the other. Seems I have a flipper thief, or I have a phantom leg. Hehe, whichever match I find the first, will ultimately decide what I will wear today!

LOL, I just reread that whole paragraph, and realized I am a dork.

Working on new pictures!!

I'm getting a small break on time here, so I am happily taking and editing pics, little by little. Not my best work, but it is nice to be back behind the camera and monitor. My flickr photostream is up on the left! Enjoy!

Still working on my focus...

I have wonderful subjects (though cooperation is rarely 100%) I just really really need to work on my focusing/ motion blur/ shutter speed, and all that good stuff. Seems like if I get the lighting right w/ my aperture, my shutter speed is off and vice versa, and so on. Like I said, good subjects though.

Here is a pic of Livvy next to a horse trailer during the Derby party we went to in Indiana. We had a great time and the land was so beautiful for taking pictures.



Obviously not SOOC, but even with a little tweaking the big version is a tad blurry around her face. Hmph!

This here is my sister Jamie, sitting on the same trailer, less blur and sepia-toned. I like this one and get a "senior picture" vibe from it (though she is far from graduating =)



My fave picture of the day, cannot for the life of me figure out how to edit to my taste, or maybe it needs little/no edit. All I did was brighten it a little and vignette. Here is edited and original. Hmmm...

So much to share...

So little time... =(

I wish I wasn't so busy, but then what fun would that be? These months are just breezing by, which is a good and bad thing. It seems like every month (or week) someone is getting married (totally not a bad thing) or someone is having a birthday (great too!) I just need some down time. Lucky for me that will come next month's vacation down South, ending the day before VBS though. I am really looking forward to the trip and VBS, just not all the prepping and planning. Anyways, I have so many funny stories to tell y'all about these kids, I have just had to jot them down for now. I also have been taking very few pics lately =( but I do have some of them to share as well. All in time I suppose...
